Midwifery is one of the oldest and nicest professions in the human history. Midwives provide essential care, advice and support for women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth and early post-natal stages. As a midwife, you will share people’s personal experiences as well as helping to shape them. To thrive in this role you need to be adaptable, compassionate and dependable, with a sound knowledge of both everyday procedure and potential complications. Graduates are able to conduct the process of delivery, monitor mother and newborn child in childbed, look after them and help them with breastfeeding. They can look after, nurse, care for female patients and perform special treatment for them. They also need to be capable for performing tasks of prenatal and general nursing tasks. The midwifery degree is automatically accepted in the European Union.
